Today I have verified what I had been intuiting for a long time. Light does not propagate in a vacuum. It’s instant. The first attempts to measure the speed of light, Roemer’s experiments in 1676, when measuring eclipses of Jupiter’s moon Io, did not take into account that space is not empty. The same happened with the Michelson-Morley experiment, in which the non-existence of the ether was demonstrated.
