The Magnus Codex

In the summer of the year 2100, an ancient medieval codex fell into my hands by chance, in which the name of Magnus appeared in large letters and in which the steps to be followed in the exploration of a cave. Also, at the end, it described the place inside the cave where another codex had been deposited, a continuation of the previous one.Two cavers and a humanoid, we began the adventure guided by the content of that codex. After a long journey that led us to the center of Africa, we arrived at the appointed place. The access was semi-hidden by vegetation. Upon entering, a nauseating smell forced us to use oxygen masks. Flashlights illuminated the difficult access to what appeared to be a narrow, dank passageway. The humanoid warned us of the presence of bacteria that our immune system could not combat. We activated special filters, and after going through that passageway, we headed to the place that the first codex indicated where the second codex was. A chest appeared before our eyes, which the humanoid opened. There was the codex. We only had time to read that we were inside the maw of Magnus. With a deafening sneeze of Magnus, a powerful gust of air violently expelled us through his nose, with the extraordinary luck that we fell onto the thatched roofs of a nearby village. We never saw the giant, but we keep the codices as the material proof of our extraordinary adventure. Apart from verifying that our humanoid experienced fear for the first time.
